What is the name of your state?California (Los Angeles County)
Once again, I come seeking answers that I haven't been able to find on my own.
I am renting out two rooms of my mother's house which my son and I occupy (I know...I keep trying different ways to convey the same thing.... I'm not sure of the proper legal-ese)
Anyway, the rooms will be rented as '1 or 2 bedrooms and use of the common areas of the house". My question concerns entering... Utilities are included and we have central A/C and heat. If one of my renters leaves their windows open, and their door open, can I legally enter their room simply to shut the window?
If it was a single 'lodger' I know the answer would be yes. It gets stickier when there is more than one person(Cal Civ Code 1946.5).
Okay, legal eagals...what say you?
Thanks!!
