What is the name of your state?INDIANA If a man and a woman are doing the exact same job,the exact same seniority,same qualifications.can the man legally be making twice the salary as the woman?If not what can be done? and what steps do yopu take to settle it?

No laws require that people doing the same job be paid the same. The law simply says you can't discriminate in pay BECAUSE of race, gender, religion, national origin, etc.

If you think you are being paid less because of your gender, your first step is to inform your employer and see how they respond. If you still feel your gender is the reason, then file a complaint with your State's equal rights division.
