my father died in 1998 in Arizona. he left a wife (his third) and a couple of step-children there. i am his first-born child, born in 1965 in Alabama. my contact with him was always sporadic, at best. he skipped out on child support and my mother was too uneducated and young to know what to do about it. altogether, he has 4 natural born children; two by my mother and two by his second wife. he left an estate in Arizona. i am not sure of the extent of that estate. my question is, am i legally entitled to anything, as his first-born child? if so, how do i pursue this? thank you.

Please post your question on the Estate board

or Wills/Probate board. My guess is that since it's been 3 years there's nothing you can do now unless for some off chance the estate has not been closed.
