My daughter got an eviction notice for her daughter and her friend being too loud. It is not on her record and she wants it removed. She contacted her landlord and he said he would remove it. How long does that take? She has to be out of her apartment by the end of the month and nobody will rent to her because that eviction notice is on her record there is a court date scheduled but the landlord said he would remove it but its still there. What should she do now? I don't want to see them on the street homeless?

Your daughter will want to seek the assistance of an attorney. If she would like, she can log on and ask her own questions. I'm sure she will have information that you do not. Thank you...

In the meantime, here is the web site for the Wisconsin landlord/tenant laws: https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/704

In my area, the courts report evictions..not the landlord. If a case is filed, it will be picked up by the credit companies through court records and usually can not be removed.

SO can you clarify first question is this young lady a month to month renter or Is she on a fixed term lease ( whole year at a time ?) was this a court ordered eviction or the LL telling her she must move out ? LL telling her she must move out means no court records.
