What is the name of your state? California

The lady that lives above me hasn't paid rent that was due on the first.

When can the landlord start the eviction process in a situation like this? I heard after 15 days??? Is that correct???

Thanks!

**A: no, on the second.

A LL may file a 3 day notice to pay rent or quit at any time rent is not paid by the deadlines specificed in the rental agreement.

Though the other responses were correct, I too was wondering why a neighbor needs to know this. Does she weigh a lot and stomp at all hours of the night? hmmm

Nah...the lady upstairs doesn't have computer access anymore...she didn't pay her ISP this month either. So, she asked the lady downstairs if she'd ever been evicted. Yep, but not in CA. After some googling, she wound up here.

Gone are the days when neighbors showed up on the doorstep asking to borrow a cup of sugar...we're livin' in a whole 'nother world now.

;)
