My ex-husband new wife has made my life a living hell, she has brain washed my daughter against me and so has the therapist and my ex. She has legally adopted my daughter thru the courts on saying that I abandoned my daughter. I have not they made it so difficult for me to visit I had three major surgeries between 1999 and 2000,also my ex had a restraining order against me that stated that I could not call, write, or visit,or visit without supervised visitation on his request thru the courts and the courts made it and order.also he was not to be around when visits took place order of the court but the mediator knew he was watching at each visit. HELP PLEASE what is my recourse against the court mediator, therapist, and the courts. My daughter always asked when she could go home to Lewiston and that she did not like getting hit by her stepmother and step siblings. There has been numerous cps reports and yet nothing is getting done.A desperate mother in california

Contact your local legal aid foundation and start with the family law section and go from there. It sounds like there is more to this than meets the eye.

Did you try contesting the adoption? Unfortunately, you may no longer have any rights in this situation, if your daughter is technically in legal terms no longer your daughter. If you did not want the adoption to go through and were not given proper notice of it, you may still be able to contest it. Thereby giving you more rights to the child's upbringing.
