What is the name of your state? VA

My ex wants to move with my child to Oklahoma. I currently live in the DC area. She states that she is moving because her new husband was transferred for his job. Can she do this?

After our divorce I moved to NY. In March of 04 I told her that I was moving to the DC area to be closer to my son and that I had already accepted a new job there. She called back the following day stating that she was moving to Albany, NY. She "moved" to Albany in June of 04 and apparently that didn't work out for her, so she moved back to Virginia. She never really changed her address, I think she just wanted to upset me. I just recently got back from a tour of duty overseas and I now live in the DC area, and I have had my son since mid-June. Last Saturday, I got a letter in the mail from her (addressed to the court) that stated she was moving to Oklahoma. I don't understand why she keeps doing this. All I want is to be a part of my sons life.

Can she move to Ok if she tells the court it's because her new husband was transferred?

It'll really be up to the judge. Note that SHE can move anywhere she wants - it's the child that would be restricted.

Well ... the judge let her go! And take me son with her :( ... I'm very dissappointed with the judicial system right now.
