ex wife making false abuse claims

i live in ohio my husband has custody of his daughters 9 and 12 since 1995 ex took him back to court in 1999 to get custody they said kids were very happy and well adjusted and kept them with us since that time she has been caLLING SOCAIL SERVES on my husband and me claiming we abuse the girls each time the claims are unfounded were talking about at least 6-10 phone calls to social serveis in the last couple years she also bad mouthes thewre father and i to them all the time the kids are torn. this is affecting my job as a child care provider. we just bought a new house so we don't have the money to hire a lawyer. please help us
could we sue her

If you can prove she is reporting , say she tells a teacher or some one or writes it in say a public forum and you can prove her reports have a finnancial effect on your business like loss of wages then you should be able to do something about it. If the girls see a counselor and tell them that their mother talks that way then it might help you in court next time you have you go. Because the report to childrens services are anonomous its hard to prosecute someone for reporting unless they are recorded somehow saying they reported and it would be your burden to prove that they were making a false report on pupose like for the reason of gaining custody.
