What is the name of your state? IL
I have been sued, and lost and now I owe. A few days ago I received a Third Party citation and certificate for most likely the bank I deposited their money in when I borrowed it. My question is what do I have to take to the examination with me? I dont care if they garnish and I don't own much for them to take. Do I tell them whats exempt at the meeting or do I even need to worry about them taking what little items I have.Thanks.

I would take along at least a financial statement that shows your income and ALL of your normal expenses as well as all your assets and liabilities. If all your assets fall into the non-exempt category, there's nothing they can take that way. The financial statement in writing will be something you could easily produce to prove your situation when you are questioned about your financial status.

Make an educated guess.. or go visit a garage/yard sale this weekend ;) Think 'quick sale', what kind of price would you put on it if you HAD to sell it by the end of the day ?? For example, you paid $300 for a TV, today its 2 years old, if you're lucky you might get $50-75 for it if you sat out on your lawn with it.
