What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama
I live in a HUD community which is Federally run. I moved in in July of this year and had not been here more that 3 weeks before I got a notice of a 'move in' inspection. Got a 'three day' notice but they gave themselves a 3 week window to do it in. One person showed up and I thought we were done, then two days later two more show up for a difference reason (appliances). Then I get a 'three day' notice for bug spraying and they give themselves a 3 month time frame to show up. Now, I've gotten another notice that the Accounting Dept. is doing 'inventory' of the appliances (as if anyone would bother to steal them anyway since they were installed in the 60's) and again, they are giving themselves a three month window to do it in.
I'm not comfortable letting someone in when I'm not here, and they just keep on giving themselves reasons to come in and a time frame that is totally unreasonable to expect them.
This is starting be 'unreasonable' access. I'm a former property manager for HOA's and have rented most of my life and this just seems excessive to me.
Anybody?
