What is the name of your state? Calif. If you are appointed initial attorney in fact in fathers durable power of attorney, and he nominates you to be "conservator of the person of the estate" does it confer any legal or cutomary right for you to be appointed conservator of the beneficiary (mom) who is in last stages of Alzheimers? Father died a week after making out the DPO, knew he was going to die, and sure knew mom had Alz. She requires a caregiver and can't sign her name.
