What is the name of your state? california
case: civil PI case.
question: i have my personal doctor i have had for 5 years, a neurologist and a pain management doctor treating me for my injuries in a store hit by fallen merchandise accident.
these doctors all know my case very well obviously. coming up in the next two weeks is the expert witness exchange....whatever that is ( i am flying throught this case on a wing and a prayer and just try to figure each thing out as it comes up...plus help from you guys) i do not have any expert witnesses. i do not know if the defense does or not. would/could my doctors be considered expert witnesses? or are they just considered witnesses? what is the difference and what do i need to do to identify them to the defense as being one or the other? also if one of my doctors is considered an expert witness, do i pay them like you pay an expert witness you get from wherever they come from?
thanks
