All this talk about paternity tests raises a question we have had for years. Before my husband and I even met he had a child with a woman. He had an eye allele test done. Has anyone ever heard of this?

He also asked to have his name put on his birth certificate since he was paying support. The last time he went to court the judge said because he admitted praternity in the court of law it can never be undone. This was back in the mid 80's. Why didn't they perform a DNA test, were they not done back then or what?

He has always questioned if the child is his, not that it would matter now, he is 19 years old.
