What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
I made a documentary about my life and music, the director of photography highjacked the footage and made the film completely different than we had originally agreed upon. when I requested a re-edit, he refused and is claiming all of the footage is his property. The film is completely laden with my image, my story and many of my copyrighted songs. He has zero written contracts and zero signatures from anyone involved. He is claiming "Fair Use". I just want him to cease and desist or make the appropriate changes to the film. Does he have a leg to stand on?
