My father gave me part of the family farm to build a house on. I built it and now my wife has split and wants half of the equity. He said that when he gave it to me that if we ever sold we would have to pay for the land. How can my soon to be ex take half the land after only living there for 11 months

When did you build on it?
Whose name is on the deed? (Hopefully your dad's!)

Land was giving to me 2 years ago..She split and does not help pay the mortage at all.. No my dad was forced to deed the land in both our names so we could get the loan?
