family leave act

I am a salaried employee. I occasionally have to leave work early (usually 2-3 hours, once or twice a month) to take my disabled sister to the doctor. Can I be required to "make up the time" or be docked in pay for this?

Many states have modified/extended the family leave act. I do not know what your state covers. Contact the Dept of Labor in your state to find out.
