Hey everyone,

I'm just wondering what the law is when it comes to an online fantasy basketball/football/etc league where you pay to enter, say for example $5 or something, and there is a prize of $100 for the winner of the league.

I take it this is seen as gambling in the eyes of the law and would require some kind of gambling license?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

What is the name of your state?

In many states it is (illegal) gambling and no license can make it legal.

This site is for U.S. law only. There are free legal advice sites in the UK where you can address your question (ie. takelegaladvice.com). While they may not have the quality of advisors we have here (;)), they know UK law a heck of a lot better than we do.
