What is the name of your state?California, Heres my situation. My parents divorced several years ago, My father remarried, he has never added the new wifes name to the title, he has liquid assets of 250k plus, no will, he has been abused (neglected, unfed by his current wife), she has blocked us access to him, he is now in the hospital, in grave condition...do we have any rights at all pertaining to his care and assets???? :confused:

Hire a lawyer and file for a guardianship/conservatorship.

Standby for other options.

Unless you have court intervention, dad's wife has the right to make his medical decisions.

Is he able to converse and make intelligent decisions? If so, arrange a visit with an attorney and a video camera.
