Okay I read a post by someone else that provided a link to demand school records for a non custodial parent. In my divorce decree it states that custodial parents address will remain unknown. Paternal Grandparents will be provided with a contact phone number not to be disclosed to the ncp. No access will be allowed to the childrens school medical or other records in compliance with the ncp's sentencing and conviction............I asked that the no contact be restated for my daughters sake because the no contact oreder is too detailed to drag to every new girl scout leader or summer camp. No contact is based on our daughter being the victim not myself. The idea was to give him no access to our address. Does FERPA in any way over ride this? Will their bio father be able to seek info on them and have some sort of legal right to? I just do not want him to know where we are. I block out the school and address but send copies of report cards to the grandparents to keep them informed and our relationship is nuetral at best, but the kids really love their Grandma and I still foster contact with her as she has been the only supportive one in that side of my childrens family. I know I clouded this question with grandparent stuff but just trying to show what I am after is to protect our location not stop them from knowing how the children are doing.
