Hello,

I have just a few questions. I currently am fighting my parents from legally adopting my son in los angeles county, CA. I have already filed a petition to terminate their guardianship (i did not lose it i signed it over when i was young) in probate court. There is an adoption hearing before my probate hearing and I need to file a motion to stay, opposition to their motion to consolidate, and request a continuance since I was not served personally. I have no clue which forms to fill out and I live in a different county and cannot drive 4 hours to the court house to sit in line at the legal aid office. So if anyone knows how to go about which forms I need and how to file by mail, it would be greatly appreciated!
TIA

Just to clarify. When did you sign the guardian form? Why did you? When, and how often, have you spent time with your child? Was CPS EVER involved?

Thanks

I guess I don't understand why you can't drive a few hours in order to fight to retain custody (and parentage, for that matter) of your child...

Well, it also involves waiting in line for legal help. I understand from the post, however, that sitting is an option. That's nicer than standing.

Sorry. I think you are wrong. Sitting on your A22 is EASIER than standing up for your children.:)

So you gave up the child, you live 4 hours away STILL, you don't want to take the time to wait at the courthouse, why exactly is this adoption not in your child's best interest??

I guess I am saying, WHEN are you going to decide to get your act together? If you still can't be bothered, is this really in your child's interest?

So tell us the following, please:

How old is the child?
How often do you see them?

Have you EVER been their primary caregiver?

Have they ever lived with YOU?

Have you been supporting them while they lived with your parents?

Are you prepared to provide for their financial and emotional needs?

Why do you believe it is now in the child's best interests to have their lives disrupted?

Since OP didn't answer the questions asked 3 weeks ago, what makes you think he/she is going to start now?
