What is the name of your state?iowa

I am planning on filing chapter 7 in the next few days. In the meantime if i get a notice of garnishing any of my wages will my filing stop that at all? Also When i am listing my creditors do i need to list the original creditor or the collection agency it is with. What if i don't know the collection agency will it work out ok if i just list the original creditors. Also what can i legely list for expenses? I am married but filing alone do i list her income and expenses as well or can i just list mine.

The automatic stay, once you file, stops EVERYTHING.

List the original creditors then, underneath, list the collection agencies that are collecting on it. Pull your credit reports to make sure you get as many as possible. Even if you don't know about a CA, the debt will still be discharged and they can't collect.

Since you're married, you will have to list her income and expenses, it goes to household income.
