hi there! here's my question: if a person lives continuously in San Francisco for about 10 yrs & now living in Chicago(for just a year), will he be able to apply citizenship in Chicago? He got his green card thru his USC wife which now they live separately (he in Chicago!)If yes, will the INS contact his wife in San Fran or will she know while the process is going on? divorce is on the way but he just doesn't agree w/ wife's conditions & doesn't have the money to fight for his rights yet(like visitation rights to his 2 kids, living trust, etc). Between divorce & citizenship, is it just proper to prioritize citizenship? pls advise if u know abt this case..thanks so much..replies will be much appreciated!

The question to ask is what the expiry date is on his card.. if we are taking a few years then forget citizenship and fight for his rights to his children.

Besides, I *think* an application for citizenship is only $400. You need to check that...
