What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia
I am a PhD candidate at Virginia Tech. However i am applying for full time positions in U.S. and have some interviews lined up. I was wondering if i get through the interviews, the company can file H1-B visa (and i am 100%sure it sponsors H1B visa) while i still continue with my PhD here. So my plan is to keep studying till the H1B gets approved and then quit right away and head for job.
Would there be any legal issues associated with such an approach?
Thanks,
Akshay
