Filming a band and using their music on TV

What is the name of your state?
Ontario, Canada

I produce a Music TV show in Ontario Canada, and film very popular bands and include them and their live performance in the show. If I have them sign a release, does this give me the right to use their live performance in the show even if they do not own the all publishing rights.
If the Record company owns the rights will I need to license the live music that I use.
