What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nebraska
Background: My boyfriend has been trying to see his son for 7 months, it was going ok at first but then the mom got a new boyfriend and started denying visitation. They weren't married and there was no visitation in place through the courts. Mom has since taken his son and moved to Denver, Co. (just weeks prior to the move she got the county clerk to issue a restraining order) he has no current address for her and can't contact her until after the judge lifts the restraining order in a week.
Here is the issue:
I'm trying to find a petition for joint custody form and a UCCJEA form to submit to the courts. My boyfriend has his parenting plan proposal finished but the courts won't accept it without a UCCJEA signed by him and a notary. Of course, our court house is less than helpful when it comes to providing forms and the 3 local attorneys we have keep telling him they have to fill out all forms and file them for him (at a cost of $150+/hr). He has done all the legal work himself and everything has gone well so far. Also, he needs her current address to put on the form (again the clerk won't accept it without the address). Any suggestions on what he can do to get this filed?
Thanks!
