Fire Inspection Scam - Do I have any recourse?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

I got an email from my offices property mgmt company saying a company would be coming out to do our annual sprinkler inspection.

yesterday a company showed up and said they were here for it, they had me sign and initial some paperwork.

Today the real company showed up and told me the previous company was a scam.

Today I research it and find out this has been going on all over California with Fire Departments warning business owners.

I'm expecting this company is going to send me a bill for several hundred dollars, should I contact BBB, City Attorney, Attorney General, or do I have any hope of getting away without paying them and hurting my credit?
