To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong
(*)To be better far than you are(*)
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
(**)To be willing to give when there's no more to give (**)
(***)To be willing to die so that honor and justice may live (***)
And I know if I'll only be true to this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star

Ah. breeze is from the northeast this morning, I have three fresh newts for the sacrificial tea, and the stars last night seemed favorable -- maybe Florida Law will go my way at tomorrow's hearing, then again.....one never knows

great!

So, what I'm to understand here is that FL law is laughable, as is most else about FL. Which should I try: move to another state (which one) before filing for divorce, spend more than justifyable, or cross my fingers, kiss the Blarney Stone, turn around twice and crow like a chicken?

I'm sorry, I was not laughing at Florida, I live in Florida, I just know how hard it is to understand the law in this state as well as any state. We have to deal with 4 states.

unfortunately there is not a "Layperson" understanding available. Sometimes you have to have humor to survive.

In no means did I mean any disrespect to you or your situation. The Florida law is not easy, neither are any of our situations. Check out the site I gave you the url to, if you don't already have it. There is a question and answer section that will help you. Also, if I remember correctly the Fl. Statues are on this site.

Good Luck.;)

The "signs" are in your favor; time for FL laws to show you a little respect! Do you have a little doll full of stick pins to symbolize "HER"? Wishing you good luck once again kid! Goodness will prevail in the end.

Good luck in Florida

I can understand your frustration. I have been going through this also. Florida law is very unpredictable as is its attorneys. I have just been reemed throught he coals here too. I wish I could offer you help, but I am looking for some myself. I have just been handed my final and it is nothing that I agreed to, infact I wasn't even told about the final hearing.... by my lawyer who just liened me for over $5,000.00.
Go figure????? So know where you are heading. If you do come up with something would apreciate help also.

What I need to know first, LegalB is that if I married the guy and he was using an alias can I use that to get out of this mess, have it annulled?

Fraud is a common way to have a marriage annulled.

custody

We have a 5 yr old, he is a felon, 2x in prison. I just recently learned about this. What are his chances of getting custody, which is what he wants. As well as my property, of course.

You need to consult with a local attorney. His chances of custody are zero.
