What is the name of your state? NY
My daughter in law and her daughter moved from FL to NY. The biological father (they were not married) is in prison in FL. Will the laws of NY or FL apply when considering child support, visitation etc. Thank you

It depends ENTIRELY on how long she has been in New York, Whether or not paternity has been established and who files first.

She has been here since April 2002, paternity has not been established (although guy in jail is father) and she is filing first. Thanks
