What is the name of your state? New York

I posted here a while ago concerning a collection agency that was consistently trying to collect on a debt that was discharged in a Chapter 7.

I wanted you to know that I contacted my state attorney generals office about this issue.

After about 3 months, I received a letter today from the AG's office. The letter stated that the collection agency is removing the account from my credit report. They told me to follow-up with them immediately if this was not done.

I figure I will pull my reports in about 45 days and see if they did it.

It was definitely a step in the right direction. Especially since this was the only collection account on my report.

Thank you again to bigun and LadyNRed for their time and invaluable advice.
