I received a new pair of snowboarding boots and a board as a gift in Dec2000. After the first time of use, I experienced severe pain on my left foot, above the ankle. There was a dark bruise and the spot was hard. At the same time, I noticed that I had extremely lowered sensitivity on the top of my foot (between the big toe and third toe).
I returned the boots for their hurt my feet so bad, and bought a different pair (different style, same make), and have not had any problems.

The injury occured over 45 days ago and at this time I still have the sore spot above my ankle, and decreased sensitivity in my foot (i can pinch it VERY hard and not feel anything). I am scheduled to see a doctor, waiting to get in.

I would like to know, legally, what can I do about this. I feel that I have incured serious damage caused by a design fault or something in the product.

I am a California Resident located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Thanks! :)
