My daughter is 12, almost 13 and i have raised her from day one. Her father was declared her father by default because he didn't show up for the testing. He never asked for visitation and was given none. She has been dating a 17 year old and i have no problem with that the thing is , her father does. He pays no support at all and as i said, has no visitation at all. Is there any way that he can cause problems over her boyfriend and if so other than splitting them up , what can i do about it? And is there anything illegal about them dating in the first place?

You didn't say what State you were in.

However, is there something mentally wrong with you ?

A 12 year old "dating" ?

A 12 year old "dating" a 17 year old ?

Gee, Mom. What's wrong with that picture ?

If I were the father, I'd have you thrown into the slammer for child endangerment, child abuse, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Then, I'd take over the custody of the child, or have the child placed in a REAL home, in a good, loving, environment.

Just what the hell is wrong with you, anyway ?

Geez, I couldn't date until I was 15; and even then it was limited and monitored closely by my folks. (and the boy was my age, and a GREAT kid.....and he and I dated up until college)

I don't know. Probably from the Ozarks.

This "mother" (if that's what you want to call her) should be shot on sight.

You'll notice that she hasn't written back - - because she knows she's wrong, and too embarrassed to defend herself. She actually believes this is OKAY ! It's absolutely incredible.

She must either be mentally retarded, or a 3rd grade graduate, living in a trailer, and walks in bare feet.

But, she can't be all that stupid . . . she is using a computer !
