What is the name of your state? Illinois I will be facing a sheriff's sale shortly and need to know if my 2nd mtg will be dismissed at this time also or do I have to worry about them trying to collect afterthe fact?

Whatever is left over after paying off the first mortgage will go towards the second. They can still try and collect the remaining balance.
