What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Washington State - I am interested in purchasing a home where the current home owner has filed chapter 7. Can she still sell me the home? If yes, what are my risk's. Is there any additional steps I need to complete in order to ensure all Liens etc. are satisfied during the transaction? Thanks

You can buy it as long as the debtor receives permission from the Trustee.

Is the Trustee mandating sale of the house? If not, it'd be easier to do the purchase after the bankruptcy is discharged. That way you'd avoid having to interact with the court system during the purchase process.
