Hello,
I am a member of a computer forum (with out metioning names) which offers computer help,in fact they are very good & helpful.I feel that I am a member in good standing,I always felt a mutual respect.Never had a problem of any nature cause I follow the rules & I show people respect.

There are many forums on this web site,like I said they are very helpful,but their is one in paticular That don't seem right.I,ve sen people get provoked so that there thread can be deleted or even banned.If you don't agree with their point of view that is what will happen.As far as I'm concerened delete is synonymous with censorship.They have its us against the world mentality.Its not only the members of this forum that abuse it,but the moderators as well.This supposed to be an open forum.

I e-mailed the person in charge (many times) and explained the sitution and not only did I not receive any response but now If I post a question in the help forum I am totally ignored,Though I am not banned.I am a member in good standing and never had a problem so thats probally why they can't ban me.I would appreciate any feedback.

There may be violation of civil laws

If a forum only allows certain people to partake in it,well,whats wrong with that picture,after all its an open forum,or its supposed to be.

If one is not part of the click,you will be provoked to the point where you are banned or the post is deleted.Is that not censorship.

Also I am a member in good standing and since I complained about this all of a sudden if I post a question in the computer help section I get no feedback from the moderators,think about it.

The forum makes it's own rules and they don't have to help you if they don't want to. They aren't breaking any laws.

If you truly believe thay are ignoring you on purpose why don't you change your user name? Or stop complaing to them and hopefully things will blow over and they will start responding to you again.

This forum says "You agree that you will NOT post any knowingly false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, or threatening message." yet people break that rule a hundred times a day.

It's just a forum. Don't take it so personally.

I understand that they make their own rules,it just seems strange that for someone that has a good track record with them to be treated in such a negatve way just cause I brought something to their attention.Maybe I opened a can of worms,why are they so touchy about this.

I.E. Lets say that I am a member of this forum in good standing and I send a e-mail to say that I don't think something is right,and all of a sudden i am not allowed to participate.does that make any sense?

Of coarse it isn't right for them to do that to you but there is nothing you can do about it.

So what if it's against there rules to use a different user name? How will they know? Just set up another email account and they will never know. What are they going to do if they do find out, ban you? You wouldn't be any worse off than you are now.

You aren't banned now so just lay low and they will forget everything and hopefully start helping you again. In the mean time use a different user name.

Are you a geek? Hanging out on a computer forum...
