I found a maggot in a bag of loose tobacco. I purchase products of this nature regularly because I roll my own cigarettes and nothing like this has ever happened to me before. What recourse do I have against the company that manufactured the product? Are there any legal precidents or previous cases of this nature?

Chewing the tobacco is probably FAR more hazardous to your health than accidentally ingesting a maggot.

I doubt if even a jury would be very sympathetic, because if the risk to your health was your primary concern then you would not be buying deadly products anyway.

This is not meant to be sarcasm. This is meant to be objective input from a potential juror.

HomeGuru response: There was no extra charge. The maggot should have been dead and dried. When smoked you would get a slight buzz.
