Fraud or Slander? i'm new to this, PLEASE HELP

I was working at this place down here in Kentucky, which will stay unamed. but, i was terminated because of "attendance". When I called back to confront the secretary/hr manager about why I was terminated she told me was solely about attendace.(i do understand that, dont get me wrong.)but she also stated that there was an "internet blog" posted by me! with a fake e-mail address and so on. I DID not post this, I do not know who made it, but I am trying to find that out. If needed I will post what was said "as me". But what i'm wanting to know is, is there anything that can be done about this?

A: You can be fired for any reason or no reason.

well that wasn't what i really wanted to know, but thanks for answering that.

i have reason to believe that she herself posted it and then when i told her what kind of knowledge i have with computers she went and deleted. because it was deleted within the time i called her and got off the phone which was like 5 minutes.

also, i was wanting to know is there anything i can do to the person that wrote that, if i find out who it was?

You were fired for attendance.

They don't need cause either.

I am having a hard time following.

So are you.

If you 'prove' this blog was not written by you (much harder than you imaginge) the business does not need to hire you back.

If you were to prove this was written maliciously by another to hurt you, and what was said was false, you still would be hard put to prove damages, since you were fired for ATTENDANCE.

There are thousands of posts similar to yours so I have prepared a standard answer:

Get a lawyer.

Invest $20K and three years.

Sue the bad people for defamation.

If you win, expect them to keep doing it.

If you lose, expect them to keep doing it.
