If a cp gives the ncp temporary custody (signing paperwork that will be submitted with the court, that is drawn up by an attorney) because the child is unhappy living with cp, is it likely that the parent that is giving custody, after the temporary time limit that was established, can just decide that they want the child back or would it have to go through the court and have a judge make the decision?

It depends upon the language in the paperwork which gives "temporary custody" to the ncp.

the paperwork says:

The father shall have custody of minor child until June of 2003 upon which time it shall be re evaluated...does it sound like he has a chance of maintaining custody?
