What is the name of your state? California
I am disabled with chronic depression for 16 years, 15 years ago I bought $29,000 bare land $11,000 cash down, $350/mo payments. I put a $12,000 water well on the land by using a credit card. A year and a half later I lost my income and hit the skids. I asked my older brother to agree to partner on the land with me and share the profits later but he refused. Two months later he called me because he heard I had not made a payment in months. He then bought it through escrow for $100. We had no agreement at all, verbal or written. Over the years I couldn't own the land due to my status.
Now, 2006, I am in a position to deal with the issue mentally but alas he has sold the land July 2004 for $80,000. He feels I have no claim to any of the amount. My oldest sister at this point agrees. My wife agrees too. Am I just stupid? Why do I still feel I should get some of my money back from the land? If there is any legal issues please let me know . Sorry this is so long. Thanks.

Q: Why do I still feel I should get some of my money back from the land?

A: What land? You had no land.

yep

Thanks, I was living in a fog, dreaming that being my brother he would be bound in someway to give back the money I had in the land without my even asking. What romantic era author wrote stories like that?
