Gay roommates = CPS Involvement?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL

Is there any reason for child protective services to become involved due to an NCP having gay roommates if everyone has their own rooms?

Nope not at all. Now that being said is it just because the roomate is homosexual? Or does the roomate have criminal record? Has someone alleged any inappropriate behavior by roomate? Abuse? ect.....

Is somebody unsubtly trying to hint that homosexuality = likely molestation?

Highly possible**************.my ex tried to say my kids were going to grow up and be gang member thugs because my husband is black. My husband who was never in a gang was on the debate team, college graduate whose clothing consists of almost all slacks shirts and ties and works in a government position with a security clearance most priests couldnt pass. Never be shocked at peoples ignorance or stupidity.

Oh come on, let's not be so quick to jump on a persecution bandwagon.
Gosh knows posters get riled up when the other parent doesn't have at least a 2BR place (we just have one from NV yesterday), as if there might be something inappropriate about that. That doesn't mean that all parents are also a persecuted class (nor does it mean the concerns carry any weight).

P.S. Is it sad that I took great pleasure putting my daughter in hip hop class because I knew he would think for sure she was going to turn ghetto? :D sigh petty I know but since I dont have to answer to him any more I enjoy my few petty moments they arent often but every once in awhile the juvenille me comes out :p Oh and the dance pictures she had in her Hip hop clothes striking a pose PRICELESS lol

Noone stated this WAS the case just that it was possible. Since OP hasnt come back to answer questions we do not know. Personally I thought it could be two options. OP could be CP wanting to prevent NCP from having roomie OR OP could be NCP worried it will hurt his/her case because CP threatened that as a reason they wont get child for visitation.

no allegations of anything have been made. the roommates have no criminal history beyond a few minor traffic tickets.

there is nothing inappropriate, beyond the automatic assumption by the new stepfather that because the roommates are gay they might get the gay on the kids or some nonsense.

i didn't think that sexual preference was justifiable reason to get CPS involved unless there was something detrimental to the children regarding it (i.e. sex offender, etc.)

grasping for straws gets more difficult as you run out of them. :p

thanks!

ETA: I'm NCP's wife. New stepdad is making threats towards Dad regarding CPS involvement because there are two gay men living in our home for the moment. These guys are on their way out anyway, but I just wanted to be certain that we aren't doing anything wrong here. Didn't think we were. :)

You mean you cant catch gay! Ok I will take off the latex gloves and face mask now. Phew! :p I assume then we are looking at option B CP or should I say CP's hubby was using this as a threat?
