I was not sure as where to post this thread but here it goes. I am an Australian high school student currently researching for a "legal studies" assignment. Currently in the U.S.A genes when isolated and such are patentable correct? not exactly relevant to Australian law because U.S patents are not enforceable outside the U.S right?

Can anyone help by providing links or knowledge about legal precedents or relevent information with regards to gene patenting and human cloning in Australia or elsewhere?

Thank you for your time.
