My grandfather in San Francisco CA, died at a hospital recovering from a bypass, two weeks ago. This hospital is supposed to be one of the best in the city. Durring his visit several disturbing situations took place. He was given a balloon to blow into, it fell on the floor and the nurse reached down, picked it up and put it in his mouth. His blanket fell on the floor, the nurse picked it up and threw it on him. He had the wrong persons medical records hanging from the end of his bed. His surgeon never once checked up on him after his surgery. And to top it all off, his lungs where supposed to be drained at 8:30 am the day he died. My uncle asked several times about this procedure, but at 10:00 pm his lungs had not been drained, he died, and I am not sure if this had anything to do with his death. My question is how do you have an entire hospital investigated for negligent behavior.
