My brother lives in Texas. A little over a year ago he bought a house, and moved his girlfriend from a different city to live with him. She brought their 5 year old daughter, and her 10 year old son also. I believe the reason she agreed to move in with him is because she was losing her welfare benefits. A couple of months later she brought her mother and her brother to live there also. According to my brother, it was without his knowledge. The mother and brother were only supposed to stay temporarily until they found a new place to live. For the first couple of months none of his visitors even worked. For at least six months now, he has been trying to get all of them to move out (including the girlfriend). They have trashed his house, they will not help pay any bills, they are alcoholics, and they constantly verbally abuse him. He works 12-16 hours a day, 6 days a week (his shift begins at 6pm. There are constant fights at his residence, resulting in the police being called by the neighbors. They refuse to move out. The girlfriend says she talked to legal experts and they tell her she doesn't have to move because he made her give up her apartment to move in with him, and she says also that if he tried to force her out, he would have to leave because there are children living there. Are there any legal remedies for him?
