What is the name of your state? North Carolina
I'm a "house poor" newspaper reporter from Asheville, N.C. looking for some advice. I recently got married and my wife and I are looking to get a home equity loan for some house repairs.
In order for my wife to be a co-applicant on the loan I think her name needs to be on the mortgage or the deed or the title or something. Does anybody know? How do I go about doing this kind of transfer? I'd love to do it myself to save on attorneys fees.
Thanks for any help.
