well there is no spouse.
that adoption idea just flew out the window. congrats. you are still a dad.
she's 25 living at home with her parents and her 2 kids.
still legal in all 50 states.
the other kids father is nowhere in the picture.
has nothing to do with you.
our kid turned 1 in november and she was told by the judge to find a job, she still doesnt have one.
he can't order her to get a job. she will never be required to be hired. it's unconstitutional. he can tell her she needs to get one, but she will never be required by state law to get one.
isnt it the pot calling the kettle black when you take someone to court for being behind in child support and you dont even have a job?
nope. she's the custodial parent. the courts want the child fed, clothed, and cared for. she seems to being doing so without employment.
you cant be a single stay at home mom with 2 kids.
yes you can. it's not always politically correct to do so, but still legal.
im considering givng up not just visitation rights but parental also.
doesn't work like that.
the whole situation isnt "hey this happened so lets work together and make the best of it." it's "hey i kept this kid, you're going to pay me child support. I'm going to raise him the way i want and you can get him every other weekend."
you gave her a child. so, you get to be responsible. want more parental time? work it out with mom.
i dont get informed about doctor visits, first steps, first words, anything sentimental.
kind of what happens when you don't plan sex properly. and as far as the doctor visits go, you can request the doctor's medical file.
so whats the real point? she doesnt want me in this kids life as the father.
if you want to be in the child's life, be there. mom can't stop you. only you can.
why should i have to suffer?
i'm more concerned about the child.
i also dont have anywhere to turn for help because i dont make enough to afford a lawyet straight up, and CPA's say they want to help but dont return my calls to discuss anything.
check your court's website for self help workshops. get a court ordered visitation schedule and pay your court ordered child support. work with mom to raise this child.
