Hey Pal.. good news with the kid and visitation. It will also go a long way to protect you in the future. I feel that with the amount of evidence you can produce in relation to events leading up to the 'attack' that you will be able to present a huge amount of doubt. You just need that small amount of luck, or piece of evidence that will really put the nail in her coffin.

Any luck getting the medical report on your ex's injuries? When do you meet the PD? Think twice before entrusting your defence into the hands of someone doing this for free.

Thanks Beagle. This would normally be my visitation weekend, instead I'm using the time to make copies of everything, the lawyer I'm meeting with Tuesday afternoon wants to see it all....haven't heard from the public defender yet. I'm assuming I'm able to bring character witnesses to the hearing for the restraining order next Friday, so I've been putting some friends on call too...

You had asked me about the dental issue, I had posted that because the ex lied on the stand I could not prove "with a preponderence of evidence" that she didn't consult with me
before the fact. The dentist testified that he recommended against the procedure at that young age, but that he didn't think it harmful. I even got him to admit that any "long term studies" on this ten year old procedure would necessarily not have been done on pre-teen children. They
pushed hard for attorneys fees as they claimed I was embarrasing my ex with my actions....Commissioner recommended no contempt but explicity said the ex in the future should put these things in writing to me and get my permission in writing before doing things like this. She denied the attorney's fees, and surprise surprise, even though the other side won, they filed exceptions to the refusal to award attorney's fees and the judge has set a hearing. I'm wondering if when he reads the transcript, he'll have a different opinion than the general master did
and find her in contempt anyway? One can only hope.
