Wills and probate

Hello, My question concerns state laws in Ohio.
My grandfather had his first stroke in early 1977 at work it was minor but lead to his massive stroke a few years later. In 1996 after he was unable to speak or write his name a family member got an atty. and put an x on the signature line and gave this family member our grandfather' s home. There are 8 living grandchildren non of which even knew this was going on. There is property and cash involed and we need to know what if there are any options we have in atleast keeping our family property, and knowing how an atty could legally do this? Our grandfather passed away and most recently our grandmother, I (we) don't know if she was aware of this as she was not able to take care of herself over the last 7 or 8 years. Thank you for your time.
