I am writing from Pennsylvania. I am in a situation where my daughters father is willing to give up his rights to my daughter. I want to know what rights his parents are entitled to. My daughter and his father are very close, I have no intention of cutting them out of her life, just trying to have a more normal lifestyle. She now goes with them everyother weekend and 1 or 2 days weekly depending on the weekend. If I go thru with the adoption I just want to be aware before I jump into the fire. I do not want to cause trouble, just want to know my rights as a parent in this type of situation.

My response:

Please use the "search" function, and type in "Troxel" (without the quote marks) and read all of the posts regarding Grandparent and Third Party rights.
