I am the maternal grandmother, and my son-in-law has threatened my daughter that if she lets me see my grandson or keep him on a once a week-end per month basis, he will harm her, and take the baby from her and flee, or take the baby from her since they are not legally separated, neither one has custody. This is emotionally, and mentally dragging me down. I have done nothing to my son-in-law for him to be acting this way. My daughter's nerves are wrecked, she has lost down from a size 12 to a size 1, and she looks very sick. What are my options, or what can I do to be able to see my grandson. He, my son-in-law won't work, deals in drugs, and I fear for my daughter as well. I am on disability, and can't afford a lawyer, but I am able to have a week-end visit with my grandson. Do us as grandparents have any legal rights to our grandchildren, because this is going to damage my grandson in the future. And it's making me greive emotionally, and draining me mentally as well.
