Our 2 grandsons lived with us from mid August of last year until December when one of them went to stay with the other grandmother. So since December we have only had one of them. We took them when there mother went into a 6 month in patient drug treatment facility. While there she got into more trouble and her probation was revoked and she was sent to prison. In April we went for and received permanent guardianship of the grandson that is living with us. The father who is our son is also incarcerated, but is under a support order. I called and spoke with the child support agency about having the support redirected to us since we have had custody since last August. They did redirect it to us for the one boy starting in April. They told me that they could only redirect it if we had guardianship. The other grandmother did not go for guardianship so none is redirected to her. Is this the law even though we have documentation that we have had him since last August?
