I hope I am asking in the right place as I am at a loss of what to do.
My ex Fiance and I are very good friends, recently he has just come back from Canada where he was staying with his then girlfriend and her little boy.
He has become very close to the little boy and is heartbroken that he is no longer with him. The mother won't even let them talk on the phone for a while and he misses him so much just like the boy misses my ex. The mother is a vicious and violent alcoholic and had taken it out on my ex and we are now afraid she might take it out on her son, the added problem is that he has ADHD and we feel he needs a stable family and upbringing the grandmother is no better as she is also an alcoholic and the father is nowhere in sight.
We really don't know what to do we are scared that at some point she will snap and use her anger on her son.

Is there any way we can bring him over here to look after him legally. Is there anything that can be done. Please help.
Thank you

Well THIS is sure a new one around here.

No, you cannot steal the child of your ex-fiance's new lover. Tell him to call the local (to the child) authorities and report his concern.

ETA: Oh, the mother of the child has no obligation what-so-ever to let your ex-fiance talk to HER child.

So your boyfriend, not the father, a LEGAL STRANGER to the kid wants what.. to take the kid from his real family? yea, right.

If your so scared for the kid, why havent you contacted the authorities> and why havent the authorities contacted you to take the kid? Because you didnt, and because they wont.

Why dont you go on to tell us why exactly your boyfriend should take a child that is not his, from its mother. Please. Go on.
